Since the launch of Agriclimat, the CDAQ has focused its efforts on implementing projects that support the agricultural sector in the fight against climate change. Today, more than 15 projects are underway, involving about a dozen agronomists and experts. In this way, the CDAQ continues its commitment to agricultural businesses, particularly to make Climate Plans accessible and to develop practical knowledge that can be directly applied on the farm.
Growing expertise
Since the launch of the first phase of the Agriclimat project in 2017—made possible by funding from the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Change, Wildlife, and Parks—the CDAQ has built up substantial expertise in addressing climate change in agriculture. Numerous partnerships have developed over the past few years, leading to the creation of promising projects.
Depending on each organization’s needs, the CDAQ plays a central role, from the planning stage through to the implementation of major initiatives. It is also tasked with developing climate action plans or consulted for its expertise and training services.
