Agriclimat—farms engaged in building a better future.
The Agriclimat project was initiated by farmers, for farmers. It is run by the Conseil pour le développement de l’agriculture du Québec (CDAQ).
What’s the goal? To accelerate the adoption of practices to fight climate change in agricultural businesses.
An active presence across Quebec
Thanks to participation from the regional federations of the Union des producteurs agricoles (UPA) and their collaborators, Agriclimat is able to leverage its work by :
- Disseminating information about climate change and its effects
- Hosting regional activities to foster discussion and learning
- Holding regional working group sessions réunissant les acteurs locaux autour de solutions concrètes.
A network of dedication and collaboration
The project relies on a vast network of agricultural producers, advisors, stakeholders, and researchers. They pool their expertise to:
-Develop knowledge on how to adapt to climate change and reduce agriculture’s carbon footprint
-Share real-world experiences to accelerate the implementation of tangible measures in the field

A concrete approach
Agriclimat helps farmers act in response to climate change, both individually and collectively. This approach is designed to boost the resilience of farm businesses while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
